In recent years, joint maintenance at the hip joint has developed into a complex concept of various arthroscopic and open surgical procedures. In parallel with the principles, for example on the knee joint, arthroscopic corrections and cartilage therapies, including autologous cartilage cell transplantation, sometimes with complex corrective osteotomies, complement each other.
Understanding and measuring hip joint parameters in accordance with the standards has contributed to a better understanding of hip pathologies. However, there is still a relatively flat learning curve in surgical procedures, with a need to improve this situation in order to introduce young people to hip procedures better and more easily.
In the much-attended workshops, led by the scientific course of Wolfgang Zinser, MD and PD Mag. DDr. Stefan Fischerauer The basics of hip arthroscopy, FAI correction (including labrum and cartilage treatment) and correct positioning were practiced in a practice-oriented manner.
In addition to theory, the expert visitors had sufficient time in small groups to apply, learn and deepen the various techniques and therapeutic procedures on the hip.
