Since the age of nine, Joel Schwärzler has dreamed of a career in tennis. Born in South Africa and raised in Vorarlberg, he follows in the footsteps of his father, who was also a professional tennis player.
At just ten years old, Joel was already competing in tournaments across Austria and ventured onto the international stage at the age of 12. In 2023, the Vorarlberg player made history by becoming the first Austrian player to win the ITF Junior Masters. In May 2024, Joel also secured his first ATP Challenger titles at the Macedonian Open in Skopje.
